On the sims 3 game I have you can have a baby with out being married you just need to be in a romantic interest or a high relationship.

In sims 3 ambition you first have to be partner then you can scroll down in the options, so you go in "be romantic" and you go down ad you will see "propose" , "woohoo" You click on "propose" then you click "get married" so after you click "woohoo" and I guess that then you just have to wait till you get pregnant!
