Sometimes restarting everything, deleting the wi-fi network from my list of recognised connections and re-connecting everything does the trick, only for it to drop again.

And at other times it has no effect at all and seems to magically reconnect itself at some point. In an effort to identify and isolate the problem, I turned off the mobile network connection and got the same results. Having spoken to Customer Services several times, I have been given lots of different information ranging from its a problem with our internet to its the model of phone, apparantly the wi-fi doesn't work when there is no mobile network connection?

Can you tell me what that symbol actually means? Surprisingly the wi-fi connection works fine, without even so much as a hiccup, when we are using another wi-fi connection. Just to be certain we tried three others, two which were public and one at a friends.

Having spoken to Sky they are sending out a new router. They say they are no longer using the type above, although they won't guarantee what type I will receive or that it will allow me to connect. Having done a quick search on it I did find a few mentions of BB issues with Belkin routers but the cures don't seem options with my router as the things they said to check and alter don't appear to exist on my router.

When I had a similar thing going on with my router, I found the following put an end to the inermittent connection. Go into the router interface page, find the address for the Blackberry - this will be on the list of connected devices - then drop the address into the DMZ folder. If your a little shaky on getting round your router settings, your internet provider may help you with this. Turn on suggestions.
