I discovered even though it was on Wifi only it reverted to 3G when on standby to upgrade Apps. Make sure you turn off Mobile Networks if you do not want to use up your credit.

This also makes your battery last longer between charges. So got one for the wife, who's old Samsung died some weeks ago. Buy the Sim free version, it just makes life simpler. For the money it is hard, if not impossible, to beat. Great shape, almost sets itself up, in fact it does when looking for wi-fi hot spots. I am not an obsessive user, but for me it's great. Just to mention that you may want to consider your usage before signing up for a years contract as I have barely touched the amount of data etc that I am allowed and, for me, pay-as-you-go would have been a better option. Having said that it would be great in an emergency if you were out walking with just your phone. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to get to grips with it but it is all very easy to set up. The screen is lovely and clear and once you get used to the sensitivity of the touch screen, it all seems to fall into place.

I do have to use a stylo for typing though as my fingers are rather podgy - but I soon managed to get used to that too.
