His confidence coupled with his strong moral compass even causes him to butt heads with the leader of the Russian mafia, which nearly got him killed. The second character to experience a significant change during the series is Revy. She was already working with Lagoon Company before Rock joined, and is an experienced fighter.
Revy initially seems to be the polar opposite of Rock. She is very outspoken, vulgar, and has absolutely no qualms about killing anyone that gets in her way. Even though Black Lagoon differs greatly from traditional action series, it is still rooted in the action genre and is prone to certain conventions. Regardless of whether an action film or series is animated or live-action, unrealistic action sequences are used gratuitously.
