I love how quick and easy it is to remove the phone from my pocket. I also love the added insurance a durable material provides. The controls are really great on this case.

The buttons are large and responsive, creating a perfect storm of tactile goodness and ease of use. When you press a button you are rewarded with a definitive pop and click. The rough texture and size of the buttons also make it easy to control my phone even when my eyes are on the road or in the dark. Indeed, the large headset cutout supports the stock Apple headphones as well as aftermarket headphones, including those with angled and over-sized jacks. With that in mind, the camera cutout is large and dark, which should prevent any potential flash reflection or discoloring issues.

This case is simply awesome. The tough look and feel are backed by impeccable design and engineering. The two-material polymer construction offers good insurance from impacts, drops, and abrasions. While the controls and cutouts offer pleasant fit and function that make using this case a dream. The slim, lightweight, package means excellent ergonomics and easy retrieval. It also means frustration every time I make a turn and the phone goes flying across the dashboard. Not a very elegant solution. If you are like me, then you love your iPhone and you want to protect it without losing too much of the light, thin feel that they are famous for.

I personally hate having to cover up my iPhone 5 but, as with the iPhone 4, I have found that the Magpul Field Case is something I can live with. I cannot stress enough just how good the grippy texture feels and as I said before, you really need to try it for yourself to believe it.

The Q-Card wallet case has been around for a while and now it comes in an iPhone X version in multiple color options. It's also worth mentioning that the case is set up to use a credit card as a kickstand for watching videos. Caseology is another company that sells affordable, stylish cases direct on Amazon. It has a few different versions of the same case but with different textured backs. This one's called the Apex and comes in a few different colors.

Mujjo makes a couple of slick-looking slim leather cases for the iPhone X that come in black, gray and tan. I'd like to see Mujjo do a folio case. Casetify's X line of iPhone X cases are relatively slim, sleek-looking cases that seem to offer a decent though not exceptional amount of protection.

Catalyst was once known for its waterproof cases. Now it's shifted to making slim "shockproof cases" with a clear back for the iPhone X. I liked this one -- and it comes with a removable lanyard. Element Case's Roll Cage is an interesting tough case because it has an outer shell that you can flip around to the front to protect your screen when needed. The Protect Stash case left has a slider door on back while the Protect Arsenal case right has an integrated bungee cord.
