When I select all then mark as read My guess is facebook has disabled the button for whatever reason. I think it's trying it's best to get you to install that goddamned Messenger app. I have notifications in my feed that simply will not go away, no matter what. I click and click but there they are. I am already upset because I could not get I finally fixed it myself!!

I totally agree with Gert and Deborah. I have the same problem. I refuse to download Messenger. I tried it once and it drove me NUTS. I also think it's FB's way They also caught on to us going in through Explorer and made it slightly harder to do so. I just ignore it and wait it out. The notification eventually goes away.
