What is Nook Color CM7?

I recently purchased my own nook color. I also have access to an older Nook color. But, if you view the nook library on either one, you can see the books and read them. I assume that on my newer device, the files are now located in a hidden file. What I want to be able to do is drag my books from my nook on to my computer desktop. How can I find and open the hidden folders on my nook?

If I root the device, will i still be able to purchase books directly from BN, like i can with the BN software? Will i be able to find the hidden files? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Name required.

Some work great but others either refuse to work or appear somewhat unstable. The faster the cards and the larger the cards the more problems we seem to see.
