I'll face the reality: yours is the first post i see regarding this problem. When thousands of people try a program, and just one out of that many has the problem, i tend to think the problem lies in the user and not in the program. I myself am a programmer too, i've done enough bugtracking to know how it works. As hushy stated, save states tend to introduce bugs in the game, wether they show right after the use of them, or some time before. My bet is that you are experiencing the later. If you really are interested in this, i suggest you to start over again, and use only memcard saves.

Of course, in ePSXe 1. If it really shows to be some bug in the emulator, the forum dedicated to it is " ePSXe compatibility ". User input is, of course, always apreciated. But you must understand that we've been troubleshooting games on ePSXe for a really long time, and when we suggest it's not a bug in the emu, it's not that we are fanboy supporters of it, but rather we know what we are talking about, and it really seems a problem on your end.

To both of you, if you do a search on this forum, you will see other people are having lock up problems on FF7 Disc2, probably not the same spot, but yes, they do have the same problem.

Stop giving me excuses about the save state, I told you I tried both save state and memory card, they all do the samething, but when I load the epsxe memory card to psxeven, everything works fine, no more lock ups, if you keep thinking it's the user's fault then you won't get anywhere with that attitude, if you don't have the time to track and fix bugs then go open source and host on sourceforge. As far as your problem is concerned, I can understand why these guys would assume it's a config problem rather than an emu problem as I've neer seen this prob before. However, it's apparent that its not in this case.

As for the point about making it open-source; the authors have already expressed thier disinterest in such a venture on numerous occasions. I would suggest you are a little more careful with your temper tho, as these guys were simply trying to help you in the best way they could. Just because I'm pointing out your mistake doesn't mean I hate you, I can be a liar and kiss your ass and say you are the best but I would rather not, because that way you will never realize and correct yourself.
