CarPlay album art: You now have the option to turn on or off album artwork in CarPlay.

Volume adjuster: You now have 34 different points on which to adjust the volume level. The volume slider also offers taptic feedback. Home app wallpapers: The Home app now offers more wallpapers to select from. They include various colors with a minimalist finish.

Siri for Everyone setup: Siri for Everyone now understands multiple voices. However, you will need HomePodOS 13 to enable the new feature. Share sheet: The share sheet on the iPad has been changed up. It now looks cleaner with different typography icons. Share sheet design has been updated, again.

Automations tab in Shortcuts: The "Automations" tabs in the Shortcuts app has been temporarily removed. No word on if it'll appear with a minor upgrade or the next developer beta update. Larger network icon: The carrier icon in the corner of the iPhone has been made slightly larger. It night fits more snuggly between the signal bar and battery icons. Achievement Move icons: The achievement goals in the Activity app have been expanded.

Home screen tweaks: The pop-up menu that appears on your Home screen when you long-press or 3D Touch an app icon has seen a terminology change to one of its options. Instead of "Rearrange apps," it now says "Edit Home screen. New emoji: There are over new emoji in iOS Video recording controls: You can now change the resolution and frame rate at which videos record from directly within the Camera app. Tap the numbers in the top-right corner of the app to cycle through the avaialble resolutions and frame rates.

Deep Fusion: The long-awaited camera feature is now available. The feature uses the A13 Bionic's Neural Engine to take multiple shots to create detailed images. It allows Siri to read out messages through AirPods. It is not turned on by default.

I'm beyond excited and ready to dive right in. If Apple follows their normal development path, not all of these features will be available right at the beginning of the beta, but don't worry, I'll let you know when they are. They're fairly self-explanatory, but if you get stuck, check out my How To Install Apple Public Betas guide to be honest, you should check it out anyway for helpful reminders of things to watch out for when beta testing.

Master Your iPhone

Currently, the only available iOS beta is for iOS This is beta software and Apple makes it extremely clear in the agreement you scroll past on the way to the Agree button that it can do anything up to and including bricking your device and corrupting your data. Before you download the beta client, it is vital that you plug in your iPhone to your laptop or desktop computer and take advantage of the iTunes Archive tool for iOS. This way, down the line, when the unexpected happens, you'll have a stable backup that you can use to restore your device.

One thing that Apple won't tell you is that, if you want to save all your Health data, you'll need to encrypt the backup when given the choice. So make sure you encrypt it!
