Technical Details

All edge ports and buttons are protected with rubber caps and the screen is shielded by a touch-transparent plastic cover that leaves the home button's fingerprint sensor exposed. It's a little pricey and there are no detailed assembly instructions, but once you get it installed, you'll have no need or desire to ever take it off.

Just one issue: When the Tab S2 is propped up for horizontal desktop use, the stand puts the home button on the left side, instead of on the right for use by your right index finger or thumb. Though lefties can rejoice, for once! If only Gumdrop offered this case in both left-hand and right-hand models, it would be absolutely perfect. The case is great and functions well for my "in the field" requirements.

I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5, because I'm not a huge fan of the stand. It works magnetically, and slides in place, where I'd prefer that it snapped in place. It still works however, and a tablet case with a stand isn't easy to find.

Lastly, I gave it 4 stars, because it uses that plastic glass cover that otterboxes use, which I had to cut out, because it scratched and smeared easily with my "ittn the field" hands. Good case, I DO recommend it, just want others to be aware of my minor complaints This is the perfect all in one case. I previously bought flip cover styles which could be folded in a way to prop up the tablet but for my Galaxy Tab S2 9.

The Gumdrop Hideaway does exactly the job. It encases the tablet with black rugged nonslip silicone, has a built in stand that easily opens out to prop up the tablet in reading or typing views and has a screen protector that attaches to the silicone beautifully all without loss of sensitivity to the screen and access to the various ports. If it gets a little dusty just wipe clean.

Gumdrop is worth the money and I would buy for my other Samsung devices. You can search on YouTube for Gumdrop videos about their covers.
