I purchased this book a year ago and finally have time to work through it. The writing is very dry. It spends a lot of time explaining things that I will forget and could look up for myself.

There are a lot of cases where the author provides details in parenthesized text, even though the book has sidebars for that sort of thing. The really annoying thing is that most of the examples are incomplete.

You have to fill in the missing code in order to try the example out. I do not mind doing this so much if the code works but the OpenAsync example throws an exception. I downloaded the example code and some of the examples that are provided do not match what is in the book. It would be a huge improvement if the author would simply included the namespaces for classes that are not included in the standard generated code.

I eventually found out the OpenAsync example failed because I was trying to open a file from an unshared folder on my OneDrive.
