Has a similar issue with a SGH except that time it was a volume swith stuck and it kep coming up in an invalid boot mode. Remember these boot in download or recovery, usually by a combination of holding the power button along with one of the volume switches so something as simple and inexpensive as a switch is a serious enough hardware issue to prevent the android devce from booting properly.
