My phone version of Words with Friends quit working all together today. Other friends with windows phones are having the same issue. Besides not working at all, it hasn't been syncing with over versions. Please fix this!

Still get the "Something seems to have gone wrong" message when logging in. I have the same problem. Windows phone version stopped working yesterday, unable to get past the login screen. Same problem on two Windows phones. Have reinstalled and problem persists. Windows PC version works fine. We've been made aware of this issue and are already working on a fix. We'll make sure to keep you posted once the solution to resolve this matter is at hand.

The app loads through the log in screen and then to the password screen. It will let you enter the password and it knows if you enter the wrong password but will not go past that screen. It would be best if you can provide us a screenshot of the error, or the exact page where it says you do not have a Microsoft. We will need this information to further investigate the issue. Ok, the troubleshooter for Windows Apps said I have no account. So, maybe they will extend that advice to Edge or whatever IE or Edge-based app that you are using.

In the case of doing that with IE you could at least try InPrivate Browsing mode Ctrl-Shift-P but then ironically you would probably need to really log in. Does the site allow multiple logins? Did you start troubleshoot on their forums? I would be willing to kibitz on a thread there from here but don't want to try to create an account there just for this.
