Mavericks app store updates broken

The app store appears ok to me, however, there seems to be an update for iTunes If I click the update button, it shows up in the 'installed' list, but doesn't actually update iTunes. Oct 24, AM. There seems to be a lot of new bugs with the app store on my machine. Minutes ago it listed 9 updates on the dock icon, but only 6 in the app itself.
Then when I clicked "update everything" nothing happened, instead I had to click every app individually. Then for some reason in the middle of updating Pages it decided that it wouldn't list it in available updates, instead saying "no more updates found". Even though it's still updating Also, I still haven't updated Keynote, but wasn't on the list. If I browse to it in the app store, I can chose to update it though. Oct 24, PM. Updated September 22, A startup drive with sufficient space for the Mavericks installation. Because you're performing an upgrade install, the target destination for the upgrade will be your startup drive. The drive must have enough free space to perform the installation as well as enough free space for your OS and apps to work well after the installation is complete.
Close any apps that are currently running on your Mac, including your browser. If you like, you can print this guide by selecting Print from your browser's file menu. The Mavericks installer window will open. Click the Continue button. The Mavericks license agreement will display. Read through the agreement or not , and then click the Agree button. A dialog sheet will open stating that you have agreed to the terms of the license. Click the Agree button. The Mavericks installer will display the drive icon for your startup drive. But it would have been a lie.
There were no "problems", the download wasn't "interminable" it did finish , and there were no "failures. And keep in mind that many users have internet plans with data caps. Simply put, a 5GB update is 5x as expensive as a 1GB update. That is by no means an uncharacteristic situation in the global 3G market. So instead of complaining that I told the truth, why not just praise your own good fortune at having a fast and presumably uncapped internet pipe, and encourage people in my position to keep the faith with the download?
Hang on! That's exactly what I suggested! Apparently, I forgot to backup my stuff on a separate drive but thats my fault. So… the thing is now I can't access my bootcamp the alt function at the beginning does not show the drive being there. Anyone else having this problem?
If so are there any quick fixes? Other than that its been running smoothly. Upgrade to Maverick went without problem and everything seems to work fine except when it goes to sleep or screen saver. Any idea how to fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Upgrade from a previous version of OS X
Scrolling stopped working in Safari among other places on the "History" page after upgrading. The download took me about an hour, I am lucky enough to live about m from my exchange, though that said, it was 6gb, so I have dropped it onto a USB installer. Only bug so far: every time I hibernate, my corporate Exchange info has to be deleted and reinstalled in order for me to receive Exchange email.
No problems with sending. No problems with Gmail. Any suggestions? I'm waiting since Pro Tools has not been certified to work with Mavericks.
