Plantation apartments mobile al reviews
It is a very small 2 bedroom condo with very cramped bathrooms the kitchen Galley is reminiscent of something you'd find in a studio apt. The beds were squeaky and saggy. Soundproofing is non-existent. Furnishings were on the cheap side. At least the Linens and bedding were pretty decent.
You really can't get a view of the gulf from this particular unit because you're at the far end of the building away from the beach.

You're also on the first floor so it makes it hard to see over the sand dunes to see any of the water. Being on the first floor did make it convenient for moving in. The location is far from everything. Expect to drive at least 20 minutes to a half an hour to get to the all the restaurants. Of course all the major restaurants had an hour and a half to two hour wait so call ahead.
The beach was very lovely looking, however the part that belongs to the Gulf Shores Plantation Resort was always very crowded compared to the other Resorts nearby. You're allowed to walk through the other Resorts beaches but you're not allowed to set down your stuff and make Camp there for the day. Check in using the Global Discovery Vacations Club was very easy Check in using the Global Discovery Vacations Club was very easy for this unit.
So was check out. However having to pay a parking fee when you're a half hour away from town is a bit obnoxious. The starter set of supplies soaps and paper products was very stingy. Be prepared to bring your own supplies from the very start. We also had to buy some dark shower curtains from Dollar Tree to cover the bedroom windows, because they were east facing and the drapes just dims the light a little bit.
Be careful if you're changing in the room at night too because they can see you from the outside. The beach was awesome! Clean, plenty of room even on Spring Break, and there are plenty of activities for the family. The pools and pool areas were clean. The only real con we felt was that out of eight families in our group, four had to wait a long time for their rooms to be ready. They definitely need more housekeeping staff during Spring Break! The quality of the cleaning was a little poor, as well. It seemed as if the place we rented got a wipe down, but not a real deep clean before we got the keys.
Overall, I would recommend staying at the Plantation. We were there during spring break but it was a very laid back vacation. I didn't see the first drunk teenager or adult.

Ocean was too rough amd cool to get in but pools were nice and clean from what I saw. No 5 star place but clean and a great family place away from the crowds. We stayed in the west building. It was gorgeous. Had everything we needed and a few steps from the beach. The facility was clean and everyone we dealt with was friendly. The beach was amazing. My children loved the salt water pool. The only negatives I would have are with the property management, not the condo. The second day of our seven days our exterior door to outside not condo started to be replaced.
Everyday for the next four days they sporadically worked on this door, often making us feel like we were in the way when we came and went. The other thing would be on Day 4 two men show up on our patio and proceed to cut down a bush early in the morning. It was sad to watch this bird sit on what was left of the beautiful bush for the rest of our vacation.

We assumed there was a nest. That being the only negatives, The Plantations provided our family a beautiful spot to vacation, that we look forward to returning to again one day. We've rented a condo here for three years. Nice pools. Easy walk to the beach. There is a restaurant on the property Sassy Bass.
The condo we stayed in was a small studio. If we stay again, we will stay in a bigger unit. We had a gulf view, but we had to walk down a long hallway with all of our luggage. Pleasant stay. Property Ratings. Yes, I would live with this apartment complex; it would not be my 1st choice though. There is no play area for children. I did not see a laundry facility. The area is a little older. The parking even though it is on a hill holds water and show signs of water wear. Also, it is mildewy around the buildings. This security gate in the front has a key passcode. The gate in the back is open. There is no signage or contact information on the office. There is a sign outside of the apartments; but there's no contact information on it.
