This looked like a unique design, so I ordered it. I find it to be a bit large, but very functional, with clever design features. The bank plugs in with a swing-out power plug. It is built for v, but will work up to v with an adapter not included. A single power button will turn it on, but it automatically turns on and charges when you plug in a USB port. The device will charge a phone while it is recharging the mAh battery, which is useful on trips you don't need two chargers.

Mine did not come with instructions, but this is really simple to use.

There are a lot of products that look like this available on amazon. Almost all of them are from brandnames I do not recognize. This was my second attempt. The wattage is sufficient for multiple iPads and phones. What a great device it helps keep my phone and watch charged and ready to go. Let me first say that you have to take ever review of these charging docks with a grain of salt because there are really two camps of users. Those with skins or nothing attached to their iPads, and those with cases. Any well designed dock for the former will probably not work well or at all with the latter, while those designed for the latter will work with the former, but probably not well.

Also with the latter, you have a wide range of cases, some with a fairly open bottom, and others were the case is so thick the lightning plug can't even reach it. What is so infuriating about the people with the big cases is they go around giving low scores to docks, when they should stop trying to even use a dock with their cases and stick with a cord. These people are so annoying, they think the world is designed to cater to their tomb-like cases.

Technical Details

Having said that, this Belkin dock is designed for the middle category of cases. It's got a lightning plug that can pivot forward and back, and also has a dial that can adjust how far it protrudes. Good for iPads with cases, but bad for iPads with just skins or nothing. It makes it much harder to dock vs.

I don't have cases on my iPads, and it makes it difficult to dock the iPads, especially at night, when you try to do it just by feel. The description of the product says it fits most cases I complained to Belkin and they admitted that it only fits "open base cases. Their recommendation is to remove the case every time you charge it, which really is an inconvenient solution. I'm returning the product.

Be warned that it may not fit your phone without removing the case. It's hard to recommend this charger as it is cumbersome and doesn't work as well as it's intended. I have an iPad mini 3 and an iPhone 5s and and others here have said, the first slot is a little wonky when charging, even when adjusting the Lightning adapter's height.

My phone is set to audio and vibrate for some alerts and the slightest vibration from an alert is enough to disrupt the connection and possibly not charge your device thoroughly overnight, which is likely why most people would want such a charger. This doesn't happen each and every time, but it's a frustration to be aware of if you're thinking you're assured of a full charge after every use.

It's a beautiful piece which looks great anywhere, however inserting my iPad mini in the back slot can be a bit of a chore at times. I do like however that I don't have to remove the Belkin cover on my iPad nor the elago cover for my phone when using this charger. No, there isn't a way to adapt this for syncing and that's not what this is intended for and I'm fine with it.

I wanted a dual port cradle charger that can quickly charge my iPad more importantly at 2. Finally, it's cost prohibitive for most. While this might be the only like charger in its category, the price gouge makes this a luxury item for those that see benefit in it.
