This routine is spot on. I always understood that the button was on the MSFW. I haven't ever got my car to show bluetooth pairing yet. I have the iphone 3GS snap-in adaptor in my car as well. Don't know if this makes a difference? I've tried numerous methods and none of them have made it say "pairing mode" nor has it come up on my phone.
